The Bold and the Beautiful is set in Los Angeles, California and follows the Forrester family and their fashion house business Forrester Creations. Stephanie Douglas, a strong-willed lady, who is daughter to a rich family, and her husband-to-be Eric Forrester, who aspired to become a fashion designer, met while they both studied at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. The young couple rushed to get married when Stephanie became pregnant. After moving to Los Angeles, they established Forrester Creations, designing and producing quality men and women's fashion, with Eric's designing talent and Stephanie's financial funding. While gaining international recognition, fame, and wealth from their work, the couple also managed to raise four children in a happy and caring home, including eldest son Ridge, brother Thorne and younger sisters Kristen and Felicia.
